Arkaya Foundation
Arkaya Foundation operates in both India and Canada. In India we are a registered charitable organization. In Canada we are a federally registered not-for-profit and working towards charitable status.
The goal of Arkaya Foundation is to promote health and wellbeing through the teaching of full-spectrum, decolonized Yoga and Tantra in alignment with the traditions of India. This includes providing programs to the general public as well as teacher trainings, workshops, and retreats. The long-term vision is to establish and maintain healing and retreat centres, modelled after the traditional Indian Ashram, both in India and Canada.
In India, Arkaya volunteer activities started more than 15 years ago to a wide spectrum of individuals who needed support. We then started to focus to children in 2006.
The Vision of Arkaya Foundation, India is to empower and enhance the lives of children, especially from backgrounds that have much untapped potential. We aim to provide better role models and opportunities for the children to become their highest and keep their joyous spirits. The children are exposed to a variety of healthy mindsets exploring gender identities as well as subjects like waste management, herbal gardening, spoken english, film-making and a yogic life.
